If Students want to apply to any university in the Netherlands, they need to meet certain requirements. They need to submit some of the important documents while application. These documents serve as proof of their skills, abilities, nationality, and identity. Universities ask for documents depending on the student's study level and course of study. However, to study in the Netherlands, they will need the following documents:

• Copy of passport: Students will need to upload a copy of the page(s) in their passport containing their personal details and photographs. If they are from the EU/EEA, they can submit a copy of their identity card instead.
• Updated Resume/CV The CV (curriculum vitae) must be written in English and should contain the basic personal data of the students, as well as a clear overview of their educational and professional history to date.
• Academic documents 12th onwards (Mark sheets or Transcripts) In order to prove high academic standing, institutions ask applicants to provide a transcript of their previous studies, offering a look not only into grades received but also which courses the applicant has taken. If their transcript is in a language other than English or Spanish, they will most likely be asked to provide a certified translation of the full document.
• Two letters of recommendation: Universities in Spain ask for recommendations of former professors and mentors into account when deciding whether or not to offer admission to the student. Top universities strongly suggest that students should request such letters of reference from professors with whom they have worked very closely, such as academic advisors, thesis advisors, or professors with whom they have taken multiple courses.
• Statement of Purpose: The statement of purpose acts as an introduction to who the student is, what he/she has done, and why he/she is interested in a given program. • Proof of Language Proficiency: If students want to study at a major Spanish university, they now have the choice between studying in Spanish or in English, since most departments offer at least one program taught either entirely or partially in English. Regardless of the language of instruction, if they are applying from outside of Spain they will almost certainly need to provide proof of language proficiency, which generally means taking one of the accepted exams and receiving an acceptable score.

• Acceptance of the university's offer letter: When students have accepted an offer from a university they can go to a Spanish consulate or embassy in their home country to apply for a visa.
• Contact nearest embassy/consulate: They have to apply in person for a Spanish visa, and depending on the embassy they may need to schedule an appointment.
• Submit application documents: Students should take the required documents to the embassy or consulate and fill in the visa application form. The required documentation may vary depending on the case, but the common requirements are:
  • A valid passport to be current throughout the whole time of stay in Spain
  • Letter of acceptance from the university
  • A copy of all the passport's pages
  • A recent passport-style color photo
  • Confirmation of school or university registration issued by the academic institution in Spain
  • Proof of health insurance
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Students must possess sufficient economic funds in order to maintain themselves in the country
  • A medical certificate issued by a doctor
  • A negative criminal record checks from the countries students have lived in for the past five years.
• Decision time: It takes around a month to get a decision on a student visa.
• Register with immigration: When students arrive in the EU they have 30 days to apply for a Spanish Student Residence Card for Foreigners (TIE) and receive an NIE number at their nearest Oficina de Extranjeros or a police station. This will need renewal each academic year.

Students can receive an answer in as little as 15 days, but it's not unknown for it to take three months in busy periods. They should make sure to begin preparing the required documents as soon as possible after receiving their letter of admission from their university.
• Working in Spain with a student visa International students can work up to 20 hours a week in Spain provided that they have the correct work permit and it does not interfere with their studies. Before beginning work, they need to receive the correct permit from Spain’s immigration authorities. The application for this can be completed at an Oficina de Extranjeros and they should speak with them before to ensure they know the exact process and have all the relevant documents. Receiving a permit may take a long time so students should apply as soon as possible.
